Strangers, without access to you.
Raam is an 18+ app where strangers see a few seconds of each other's ordinary life. Nobody on Raam can find you, follow you, message you or see your exact location.
What strangers can see
- One seven-second video you chose to send
- The approximate area it was recorded in, such as a city or region
- The local time it was recorded
- Roughly how far it travelled
- Six possible Echoes to send back
What strangers cannot see
- Your name or username
- A profile
- Your other Raams
- Your exact location or GPS coordinates
- Your phone number, email or contacts
- A way to message, follow or find you
How moderation works
Every Raam is checked before it reaches anyone. Automated review screens for nudity, violence and other content that breaks the rules, with human review for anything unclear.
Only moments that pass are sent on. If yours is held back, you’ll be told why.
What if my video shows other people?
Ordinary public life is fine. Close-ups of identifiable people without their knowledge, and anything involving children, is not. See the Terms for details.
How reporting works
Every Raam you receive can be reported with two taps, from the moment itself. Reports go straight to review, and the moment is removed from your view immediately.
You can also block, which means nothing from that person will reach you again.
Will the other person know I reported them?
No. Reports are anonymous.
Location and privacy
Raam records your exact location only at the moment of capture, to work out a coarse area. Strangers only ever see that derived area, such as “Osaka, Japan”, never coordinates or a map pin.
The location shown belongs to that one Raam, not to you. Raam does not track you in the background.
Could someone work out where I live?
They see a city or region and a local time, never your street or building. If you record at home, the area shown is still only the city or region.
18+ only
Raam is for adults. You confirm your age when you sign up, and accounts that appear to belong to under-18s are removed.
How is age checked?
