The Human Network
A social network for people you may never meet.
Raam is an 18+ app that connects strangers through short videos of ordinary life. The Human Network is the idea behind it: that people can matter to each other without becoming audiences, followers or contacts.
Social networks taught us to build audiences.
Algorithms learned to predict what keeps us watching.
Raam starts somewhere else.
One ordinary moment. One stranger. One small glimpse of another life.
Ordinary life is enough
Most of life isn’t a highlight. It’s the commute, the queue, the washing-up. We think of these hours as filler, but they are what living actually looks like.
On Raam, ordinary life doesn’t have to become content to be worth seeing. Nobody grades it, and nobody asks it to be more.
Strangers can matter
You don’t need to know someone for their moment to stay with you. A stranger’s breakfast, seen at the right time, can change your afternoon.
Connection without access.
You can experience another person without gaining permanent access to them. No follow. No DM. No profile search.
Geography creates curiosity. Emotion creates meaning.
First you see the moment. Then you find out it was Osaka, or Lagos, or a town you’ve never heard of. That order matters: you meet the person before the place.
And when you send an Echo, you’re not rating anything. You’re telling someone, somewhere, what their ordinary moment did to you.
An ending is a feature
Social technology doesn’t need to maximise the time you spend with it. Raam ends every day, on purpose. When there’s nothing more to see, you go back to your own life, which is the point.
Real life is already interesting enough
There are millions of lives happening at the same time as yours. You will never see almost any of them. Raam opens one.
One moment is enough.
